Installing a Fish Finder

I have been searching for fish finder install tips and suggestions to no avail, so I thought I would start a new thread. Does anyone have experience installing a fish finder and transducer on their MC? Mine is a 2008 X45 8.1L and my kids and I want to find FISH when we are not riding waves and wakes. I shopped around for fish finders and believe I've landed on a $500 model with GPS and Sonar with great images of the bottom of the lake. I need to find the right location for the transducer. Preferably, I'd have someone local to Denver, CO install one for me, but I haven't been able to find someone as of yet. I may do the job myself.

Thank you in advance for the help!

I know there are a couple of people on here that have fished from their MC's even if most of us freak out about it. Hopefully they'll chime in with some MC specifics. Otherwise Boat US usually has some pretty solid advice: http://www.boatus.com/magazine/2012/...fishfinder.asp

Is it April 1?

In all seriousness, I have no idea how to help OP.

the more you use your MC, the better, in my book. Though I don't fish, personally.
