ZFT3 Mini Tower on Tristar

1 Attachment(s)
After 3 years of searching, I got lucking and found a ZFT3 Mini Tower. I installed it on my 1990 Tristar. Had to make one change. Can anyone see the change?

Did you have to fab your own base plates?

No. But I did flip over the black polyuthene mounts so they would sit level on the flat surface. If you look at the tower legs, the bottom sections are reversed. I needed them to mount further back on the gunnel top in order to clear the side windshield. Tower is rock solid with no rattles on rough water. I am very happy with it.

I really like that, the tower looks like it belongs there. Nice work!

Agree with everyone above.

It’ll still fold?

KingQuad700 07-27-2018 08:47 AM

Yes. It will still fold. Very easy to do. Only real issue I have is the bimini top is tight and too high in the front when I have it up. I am working on shortening the main support legs. I hope that we bring the front down and relieve some stress points.
Thanks, Steve
