Infinity QX56???

Am looking at picking up a 2013 Infinity QX56. Looked at all the brands with a bigger SUV (Toyota Sequioa, Lexus LS570, Nissan Armada, etc...) and settled on the Infinity as it had the best specs for our needs (big towing, lots of room, luxury, power, and self-levelling rear suspension). Does anyone have one? How do you like it? How does it tow (will be doing a ton of towing through mountain passes 3000 miles +/year)? Will be towing a X25.

Any feedback from owners would be great.

No thanks on the Nissan/Infinity. We bought a 2013 Mercedes GL 350 Diesel, 26MPG on the freeway and tows the X-30 like its not even there with 455ft torque at 1600 RPM. You also gotta love the longevity of the motor too vs. a gas hog like the 87 octane other SUV's.

Audi also makes a comparable TDI with near torque equivalent and 650 miles per tank...

Hmmm, 400 hp, 413 lb-ft. torque, 7 speed AT, 8500 lb tow capacity, upper end of luxury, sounds like a great tow vehicle minus the poor fuel economy 14 city/20 hwy, I'm sure way worse while towing. Nissan trucks has always had poor fuel economy. This new third generation QX56 is NOT the same as the Nissan Armada, the early ones were identical (2004-2010).

Have a Yukon Denali now and love it. The new ones are coming out this fall, so, will wait and see what the new Denali's/Escalades look like first. Don't want to buy a model that will soon be last generation.

GL350 is too small a vehicle for our liking. I want as big a piece of steel as possible.

Agreed. And the pricing actually isnt that bad. Substancially cheaper than the Lexus and about the same as the Toyota believe it or not. It is taking me a while to get into their exterior looks but the inside is definately premium. The have the 2nd row bench seat option which is also a must for us with the kids.

I don't care how good the QX56 drives, I wouldn't ever make it in one to test drive. IMO it's the ugliest current model SUV on the road.

i got my QX56 in late April and have over 6000 miles on it already ... absolutely love it and will never get another Yukon again. Room is great ... second seat has more legroom than front and significantly more than the Yukon XL. The front console could be bigger, but i would just fill it anyway so that's probably OK

I towed a 7500 lbs travel trailer to my farm, ~100 miles, and it did great ... no issues accelerating or feeling slow to brake

I get 17 mpg overall and 20 on the highway

I am on my phone most everyday driving back and forth to work ... clarity of the bluetooth speaker system is great

i am very impressed with mine and would highly recommend it

good luck

Our friends have the QX56. We getting better mileage towing than they do when not towing. No doubt that it's a fuel pig. Think it's ratings for consumption are a little fluffed. And they're not my favorite looking either. :D
