'99 205V Trailer Single Axle Spare

5 Attachment(s)
I've got a 99 205V with MC trailer, with a spare tire mount, but no spare tire. I'd like to mount one using a rim/tire purchased from trailertirewarehouse.com, or some place similar. It appears to be a 15" rim, 6 bolt, but I'm not exactly sure of the bolt circle diameter. From the measurements I took, it appears to be approximately 5". Does anyone know for sure?

For my purposes, the rim doesn't have to match. It would be nice if it did, but I plan on putting an MC cover on it, so no one will ever see it. If I ever need to use it, I'm not going to care if it matches the other rim, as long as it gets me and the boat to where we need to go.

The bolt pattern on my 2003 trailer is 6-5.5 with a 4.25 hub hole. Yours should be the same.

Your rims are different than mine, but I picked up a matching oem mastercraft rim off ebay. I bought a used tire from top line mounted and balanced for $30.

Thanks, J!

Found a nearly identical match on trailertirewarehouse.com. I couldn't find anything good right away on eBay. What I went with is this: http://trailertirewarehouse.com/16X6...?categoryId=-1

$60 + shipping. I'll go to Top Line and get a tire for it. I think the chrome is going to make the spare look nicer than what's already on the trailer! Maybe I won't put a cover on it after all.

The wheel/tire in your picture is a 15" tire/rim (the -15 on the end of the size on the tire), your link to your purchase indicates a 16" rim. Is that what you intended? You can't measure to the outside edge of the rim to get the size.
You may wan't to reconsider what you've just ordered.

Good catch! I had so many #s in m head at once that I overlooked that it was a 16 not a 15. Guess I'll cancel and keep looking!

They do have the 6-hole 15" available as a tire/wheel assembly.

Chrome Modular

I was adding a spare on my tandem axle and purchase mine from Summit Racing.
It was a pretty good match although for anyone with MCOCD, the cutout holes are slightly larger on the new rims (1-1/4" vs. 1-1/8"). Wouldn't matter for just a spare, but on mine I was using the new one as a substitute for one that was rusty. The rusty one becoming the spare.
On a six bolt pattern, you can measure the bolt circle diameter directly from two opposite bolt hole centers. From your pic it appears to be 5" center to center, but it may be just the angle, 5.5" centers is more common. I'd take the wheel off and measure accurately. It is a pain to return a wheel as you may get stuck with return shipping (ask me how I know).

Nice find! That looks like the best option.
