son and i were talking yesterday when we were wiping down the boat about removing the "flames" and just leaving the X2.

here is a pic of my boat. your input i would appreciate.:D

dmartinski 08-30-2010 03:48 PM

keep them.

dummy 08-30-2010 03:52 PM

Ditch 'em.

Sodar 08-30-2010 03:58 PM

Lose them.

helton333 08-30-2010 04:01 PM

I think clean is in - always

ramzak 08-30-2010 04:08 PM

keep them for sure! It makes it stand out from the dull boring boats like mine.

Pull off one side, look at it for a few weeks. See what ya think.
Worst case, you can order the decal again.

Flipper, can you put domed chrome MasterCraft on the side of it? I bet that would look pretty smooth.

thanks for the input so far.

it's got the "small" domed mc on the back of each side. this gives a better look at the "flames".

peason 08-30-2010 04:21 PM

Where are your registration #'? I don't see them in the pics. i do like the tow vehicle!

Love the colors. I actually think the X2 in the circle, on the switched paint scheme looks great. You can change logos relatively easily.

Jerseydave 08-30-2010 04:34 PM

Put those 2 ladies in the bow from your avatar and that's the only change it needs! :D

Or move to Philly and becomes a Flyers fan! 8p

again thanks for the input so far. i do like the bulleye graphic, maybe next year.

pearson, in the first pic i had just bought the boat so no registration numbers. now have chrome with black outline. look pretty sharp.

that is my son in the avatar from nationals last summer. here is the pic a little bigger for ya.

In your case I'd say lose the flames...sharp boat.
I got the block letters on my X2 and have seen 2 other combos I really like.

JohnE 08-30-2010 06:06 PM

Another vote here for losing the flames. I think the X2 looks good though. I'd leave that.

Yes heat gun and then just see what glue is left. When I replaced mine the guy had to wet sand the adhesive off before applying the new.

flipper 08-31-2010 11:21 AM

Get the 3M rubber attachment for a drill. They work great and leave not glue mess to deal with.

FoggyNogginz 09-19-2010 09:48 PM

Lose the flames, but keep the girl on the right of that photo (whew weeee!! ;-)

I took all of my logos off of my X9 by hand, and used nothing but the sun to heat the boat up. A little Meguiar's cleaner/wax got everything looking smooth & even again very easily.

Good luck!

I removed my flames in August. I am leaning towards taking the X2 off as well

I would agree with removing the X2. Great looking boat - just too busy.

Steve O - I'd vote for removing the X2 also. I took my X30 off a few weeks ago. Looks like I have a new boat.

Is that picture over near Lake Chelan? I notice the smoke from the fires.

Tom, That is Chelan during the August fires. We were slightly North of 25 mile creek. Saw Your X30 Saturday after UW game. I went to the cove with a buddy and saw yours in the distance. Those monster tower speakers caught my eye first (NVS?) then the CLEAN line of that red metal flake. Looks great.

+1, that is the same thing I was thinking.

My boat:

Looks far better without the logos. clean lines win. some of the new graphics look tacky to me. just my .02

vrsc 04-28-2012 09:59 PM

I like them
