What is the tank made of?

I dunno, but I'd try silly puddy. I mean no one ever sees it anyways. I've seen that stuff hold a break together so well, that the next time it broke, it broke around the puddy.

it is a poly tank, i tried to patch it with Fiber Glass Resin/ fiberglass sheets. about 3 layers thick. it held to the tank bu amazingly the water flows under the glass and out some how. so silly puddy im not so sure will do the trick but i could try it. i also was told to try water weld (JB weld_) but im not so sure that will stick polly either.

What about some of those non hardening two part epoxies?

I would think you would need to scuff it up a bit with a scotch bright pad before attempting fix it.

Warranty? Have you called MC dealer? They may have some way to do it without splitting the tub out of the boat.
Be more specific on how/why it cracked. I figured they'd be indestructible unless not winterized with a bunch of water left in.

The site below is something I used to repair my rv tanks and has worked well. If you have a crack you will need to drill a hole at each end of the crack or it will continue to crack after the repar.

I just ordered that Plastic Tank & Radiator repair kit hopefully that works, i will try it out when the weather starts to warm up which is hopefully in a couple weeks.
- I did end up scuffing up the tank around the crack and trying Water weld (JB weld) that also did not work IT it held on the tank great and hardend like steel but some how the water cracked right through it with in two fills of that tank.
i dont understand how there could be that much water pressure inside the balast tank.

AS for how the tank cracked. i have no idea, im clueless. there was never water left in the tank. and there is never any weight on the tank. as for warrenty i dont believe i have one i bought the boat used. last year. and the boat is a 2007.
im thinking the tank was origionally deffective though. but i will try the Plastic tank repair kit. i hope it works

IIRC there was a thread around here that stated the cracking pressure of the KGB tanks was actually below what the jabsco puppy pumps could provide. if it doesnt vent, tanks will go boom.

I have used the plastic tank repair on my rv holding tank too and it has been good for about 4 years now.

I have a buudy with a 07 X15 that had the same problem but his was under warrenty. It got sent back to the factory to fix becaue they had to split the boat in two to get it out. Good luck getting something to work because i would guess it's not cheap to have it replaced.
