What is this? mystery boat spooge

That last few seasons I have noticed this "stuff" coming out of bottom of my bilge after winter storage. By the time I see it, it is dry and flaky like ash. anyone know what this is?

I have no answer but seeing the word spooge typed out makes me giggle

I am going to guess and say salt. Any chance you use the boat in salt water?

Note to self: do not buy Craig’s boat it has been spooged regularly.

Looks like pulp from a forgotten about case of beer.

- No salt, fresh water lakes only.
- no lost case of beer.
- bilge was clean as whistle when winterized.

If I were to guess on the origins of bilge spooge... it seems like the hull is oozing this stuff out around where that sensor is mounted. Maybe it gets wet over the summer and pushes out over the winter as it freezes?? some type of chemical reaction??

Could be anything that gets tracked in and washes down into your bilge.

What's it taste like??

I was going to guess dried antifreeze of some other material you used in the winterization process.

I have similar and usually flush out with a water hose. I suspect its some kind of moss, algae or bacterial growth from having a damp bilge
