X-45 6.0 surf setup

I just bought a 2011 X-45 with the 6.0 and we will be pretty new to surfing so I have a couple questions. The previous owner gave me a mission delta as well as 2 400# sacs (one for each rear locker filled by tsunami pump). I've read various recommendations from old posts about the best setup for the x-45 but wanted to see if anyone has any new suggestions. I don't want sacs sitting out in the boat everywhere and I've seen a lot of people say it doesn't take a ridiculous amount of extra weight.

From what I've gathered I will need another bag for the port side of the bow and probably closer to 800-1000# in the rear port locker. Thinking about doing the wakemakers piggy back system there. What about under the port side seats? The best and cleanest wave i have been able to find was on the wakeworld forums, a guy named Mike V (vman) but I haven't been able to get in touch with him. He has a lot of videos on YouTube (https://youtu.be/HuZ1_zZWGyw).

My first year with an X45 was last year. I ran stock ballast full, both rear lockers full (as big a bag that would fill the entire space, 820ish I think ), and then 2 bags up front under each front seat (250/300ish I think). Boat has 2 batteries on each side of the boat and then passengers.

Always ran a suck gate. With less passengers I put some bags on the floor.

Wave was very impressive.

Thanks. Did you plumb most of yours in or just fill with pumps?

I bought the boat with everything plumbed in. Stock pumps fill the stock hard tanks, then I have switches for electronic ball valves that then divert the water to all of the soft tanks. It all works pretty smoothly.

Use over the side pumps for extra floor bags if needed.

Ok ill chime in here.
If you’re looking for a killer wave, you need to sink the rear end of your 45.
Last year i put GSA on, but prior i was using a fake gate and had awesome results with running a total of 3400# ballast - all behind the driver.
Dont put anything up front in a 45.
In each locker fill the stock 250’s + 800s on top, then fill KGB 500 and add another 800# between driver and rear seats.
Run a speed of 10.5 to 11 mph and you will have an awesome wave where you will be able to surf without rope 20’ behind the boat.

What size bags can you fit under the bow? The boat comes with 2 400# fly high sacs but not sure if those will fit under the bow seats (guess I can fill them partially either way though). As of right now looks like I'm planning on doing the Wakemakers piggy back system for both rear lockers (820#/locker)...... Then possibly adding another 400# bag to place on the corner of whichever side we are surfing.

Nothing in the bow.
The 45 delivers a better wave with some weight midship and the majority in the rear.
