I must have been bored 8 years ago when I started this thread.

8 years later and I still have never fished from my MasterCraft.

I haven't fished from my current MC ('04 X2) but took my father in law out once or twice in our old '83 S&S ... but no, I personally haven't ever wet a line from any of my MCs

I duck hunted out of my 83 stars and stripes in 20 degree weather one winter. Quick valves for block drain and boat lift after kept it in good shape. It took a while to get the feathers cleaned up! A ton of camo to cover the blue metal flake. I have since refurbished the boat and built a new marsh boat for hunting.

You're kidding right??!?!? :eek3: I have always joked about doing this but never had the danglers to do it...

Not joking. Probably not the best use off my ski boat........ But we had to get to the ducks! We only shot out of it once. That really didn't work so we anchored and set up in weeds a ways away. I've since restored the boat and wouldn't think of doing it now. But for that winter it was the only boat I had.

We've done it more than once. No need to bring fish into the boat. My concern was always more about not getting hooks in the upholstery. I've also skied behind a bass boat when it was all that was available. Had a tracker with a 40 HP evinrude. An old ski washed up on shore and we couldn't resist. Got a hunk of rope and an old broom handle. My uncle had to do a circle around me to get on plane, keeping the rope fairly tight. We he straightened out I popped right up. Needless to say the ladies were impressed and I spent 10's of minutes dealing with the groupies.

I've used my ski to kill a few carp - does that count as fishing?
