Prostar 190 1996 on sea
Hi all

I live in the UK near a large natural harbour (sea) in Poole. I am thinking about buying a Mastercraft Prostar 190 1996 (or possibly a Ski Nautique 1998) to restart my wakeboarding hobby and get some family time with my daughter and my nephews.

How will the PS190 (1996 model) perform in the sea, especially in the chop/swell if I venture outside the harbour?

Which is the best choice for wakeboarding in the sea? A Ski Nautique 1998 or a Prostar 190 1996? I have found both boats for sale and need to move quickly or they will be lost.

That is going to be a rough ride in a 190 on the sea. If I get some chop or even boat traffic, I have to slow mine way down.

If your taking it to sea you better get an X80!!!!

Neither one of those boats (MasterCraft or Natique) are designed to be run in chop or swells.... They are competition ski boats that are engineered to be run in flat calm water..... In my opinion, I think you would be better off looking for a used wakeboard boat.... I am not a boarder so I will leave it up to others here to make some recommendations for you....

They are designed to operate in fresh water lakes. The 190 is a ski boat not an open water boat.

the sea and those two boats do not belong together:confused:
