What u get? if u got the MadDog 88 i think you will like it. if i remember it has a .82 wing an the FLT Leg are longer ie. ATL-DIA NOSTOP. I got 5000HRS as f/o an i came for 727f/o so it took some time to get the xwind landing down !! The 727 was a cake walk drive it down to 10ft an kick it out hold top rudder on the center line an role it on, not so on the MD80 tried that on IOE AN BAM WE ARE HERE Cap said start at 50ft till you see how long it takes the rudder to wake up an then you will like it i liked it ok but as soon as i was 45% on the B757 i jumped on it an never looked back .. email me you get some free time an I'll meet you for a cool one!! teh92601@mac.com

    Thanks Tom, I'm excited!

Being a 76 Captain is a pretty good gig, congrats to you! I probably will never be left seat again (I'm 47) but with an Air Force retirement check I'll be doing OK, all things considered.

Yeah, we'll get another MC...I know I won't be able to stay away!

I see in your profile you're in south GA. I just found out I'm going to be ATL-based. I'll find out what equipment on Monday or Tuesday, probably a 717 or M88. I bid those over the 73N and the A320 to get off reserve soonest. A newhire guy I know started in January on the 88 and he's already a line holder. Growth is a good thing!

Anyway, we'll need to try to get together for a beer sometime when I'm in ATL (not on reserve, of course!)

    Hey Tom!

I got hired by Delta, start 7 July. All the planes in my class are to ATL which is what I wanted because it should be an easy commute from FAY.

Still nothing from American/US Air/United, but I'm happy to be picked up by DAL. My daughter just started as an FA there two months ago so we might get to fly together.

Sadly, the boat is on the market. Need to reduce the bills for the new-hire paycheck and we just don't use it enough to justify tying up the $$$. I'm really bummed out. We'll get another one in a couple years...I'm already looking at used X-Stars!

How the flying going for you? What base/equip are you on? My buddy I mentioned in October is with you guys, A320 @ EWR.

    Cheers,
    Chad

I have applied with United. I have not heard anything from them, which bums me out. I think I'm pretty much in the sweet spot for hiring as far as hours and experience...I'm not sure what to think.
