Thanks for the info. I'm going to go with the marine grade stuff but the cost is always higher for that stuff. Did you do any modifications to your system or speaker size?

This is going to sound really stupid, but I don't have an owner's manual. I don't know where to check the valves. If you could direct me.

i am also curious about the FAE system. do you have one on your boat? if so... what is your opinion of it?

do you have an FAE on your boat? don't you ahve an 08 xstar with L18? do you have the dual silencemaster muffler option or do you have straight pipes with the baffled tips?

i have an 08 xstar with L18 with straight pipes and baffled tips. it is horribly loud. i am considering retro-fitting the boat to the dual silentmaster option OR adding and FAE to the boat as it is.

what would you suggest based upon your set-up?
