79 S@S rda

Hey man, your boat looks great!

I recently inherited a 79' S&S with the 351ci. It was the boat I grew up on and learned to tow, launch, wrench etc....

I hate to say I definitely didn't pay enough attention to old dad when we would start it up before trips and I just can't seem to figure out which port I would want to connect the hose to, to fire this thing up in the drive way.

I know my dad always just connected the garden hose to it directly at the inlet pump but I don't want to make a costly mistake or even burn up an impeller before I even get to take it out. Can you help?

Here's a shot of what I'm sure you are already familiar with... I scoped it out though and her I have noted what I thought to be the inlet pickup port.
