After researching my problem ( taking on water) I found a leak on muffler connection.(muffler to rear connection) removed muffler and repair with fiber glass kit.working much better, however, still leaking! I will be returning to my lake house next week and will replace both mufflers ( bought two new one from discount marine). After removing muffler there was something inside that sounded loose so i thought i would replace both to play it safe! Also there was water coming from further back on the exhaust line! I was thinking it may have something to do with the exhaust flapper, What do i look at to know the flapper is working correctly?
Also planning to repair / replace in dash depth finder, any suggesting for trouble shooting depth finder, here are the problem:
reading 10ft, blinking and no change to depth reading.
I have bought a Norcross Hawkeye and plan to look into trouble shooting with all part to replace.
any one thoughts?
I have a 1998 P/S 205
