Holy crap! You better file that memory away forever because that seldom happens on that lake. It is generally calm down near the Silos, but up near the dam is almost always chopped up. You almost have to chain up the boat. Calm water is usually about 3-4 miles away from the dam. We generally go to Lake Hauser and avoid Canyon Ferry.
Would love to see the pics of canyon ferry - I still remember an afternoon ski from silos to the dam w/o a ripple or wake as one of the best days ever on the water. Skied until I couldn't!
