My X45 L18 with 14.75x17.5 is at about 3200 rpm at 22mph. I'd like to improve fuel consumption, so assume lowering rpm would be helpful. Wakeboarding is primary usage, and its about 3000rpm for 22mph with no ballast. I've got open tips with silentmaster, and 2009 ECM that more matches this config. Maybe this solved the issues that made 2007 and 2008 not be able to use the prop you developed for the 2006 L18x45? I don't want wakeboard out of hole to suffer, right now the boat does amazing acceleration, but the rpm's and gph seem high.

It appears you are getting alot of questions about props. Do you have time for another or you trying to get away from it. Thought I would ask before I sent you a question about props. Thanks

    Eric,
Any recommendations for a spare prop for my 08 X2 MCX that will not break the bank? It has a 14.75 x 15.5.

    Thanks

I have a 2005 x-30 that I use for surfing. What is the best prop for this boat since I just tweaked the original 13.7x17v hc OJ. thanks.

    Hey Eric...

I'm curious about this post. One of the posters in that thread brought up ISO certification, says he won't run anything less than ISO class 1. I wasn't aware that inboard tow boat props were ever ISO classified that way. What's your take at OJ?

    Eric,
I have a 2002 x-star with Vortec MX LT-R 350 -330 HP engine and 1.5:1 transmission. I would like to start running more weight over factory ballast for wakeboarding and wakesurfing. Which prop do you recommend for me?

    Thanks,
    Curtis

    Eric,

They say your the master on the selecting the best prop for the X-Star. I have a 2008 MC X-Star with the stock prop. I need a backup and wanted to see what you recommend.

    Thanks,

    Shane

Eric, hi again. Thanks for responding today to my original message at the bottom.
I misspoke in the previous email so I needed further clarification. The used prop I found was actually a 4 BLADE 12.5 X 13 TC OJ.
    a) Will that prop work for sure on the 2004 x-9 with the TBI 310 HP?
    b) What is the advantages of going with either of the other two you recommended: 12.5 X 12 LC 4-blade (like the one I broke) or the 13 X 11.5 LC 3-blade.

    OLD EMAIL FROM YESTERDAY
I also need a prop recommendation. I sheered one of the blades cleanly off on my last trip out last season (or else it was already fractured and flew off?). Anyway, I am ready to hit the water except for needing a new prop.
Boat: 2004 Mastercraft X-9 with Indmar TBI 310hp engine.
    Current prop: 4 Blade 12.5 X 12V TC OJ 17004 (splined)

Are there other compatible props available that I should consider which would improve my performance?

I have only had the boat for one season so I don't remember at what RPM's I was mostly operating at. However, my main uses will likely be to pull my 7 yr old son and his friends wakeboarding and tubing and occasionally me (200 lbs) and other adult males on skis or on a wakeboard. We are also going to try wakesurfing this year and may load the ballast tanks for that activity.

I have found a used 12X13 TC OJ splined prop for sale which appears to be in good shape. Is that prop a viable option for my boat?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I am anxious to hit the water.
    Keith
