Jeff- Thanks for doing the write up on the MDC to Analog gauge swap! I am ordering all my parts and looking forward to doing this over July 4th week if not sooner! You stated #10 ring terminals but what size wire? I am thinking 14/16 but maybe 18/22?? Thanks again! Jay H.
where did you install you drain/vent thru hulls for your rear sacks? Was it above or below the rub rail? Also, where did you install your switches? Thanks!
Jeff,
Im looking at the Areial Airborne for my Maristar 225V, how do you like yours and is it stable?
Would you buy the same one again and would you recommend it to a fellow MC'er?
I like the look of the Airborne very much but want to be sure it is a good product.
Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can shed on my tower decision dilemma.
Great job with the gauge swap. I've had similar issues with my 2001 over the years. Right now I'm troubleshooting the fuel gauge. I think it's the gauge, but not sure. I measured resistance at the 18 pin connector and have about 50 ohms...which should translate to a normal reading, right? The rest of the gauges are working ok, except volt meter, which drifts from time to time. When I turn the key on, the fuel gauge rattles a little, but never moves...stuck fully pegged. Gauge for sure? If so, I may have to go your route...can't find a replacement anywhere other than an entire set of gauges from Great Lakes Skipper, and they want $500. Thanks for your thoughts/help.
