So when it acts-up, if you stop and go back to the beginning and start through the course again it does the same thing? I agree with the others on the thread. You may have to find a dealer and have them do a Diacom recording of the run so we might be able to see what is going on. Sounds like it is running out of fuel but if the pressure is holding at 58-62 PSI it should be OK.

    Hey Engine Nut,

My 1993 LT1 has the original spark plug wires. While they look fine, the must be overdue for a change.

    What do you recommend?

    Engine Nut,

Please give me your take on motor oil viscosities that you prefer for the LT-1 (97 Prostar 190). Owner's manual suggests 20W-50 racing oil. I have always used Mobil-1 15W50 but it is getting hard to find and I may change to another viscosity if others are ok for the LT-1.

Also, which oil filter do you prefer for the LT-1. Once upon a time a MC dealer sold me an AC PF-25 filter but I have never really known is this is the best one for the LT-1.

Thanks for taking the time to contribute so many great posts.... I have read a lot of them.

    Hi there,
I am hoping you can help me. I have a 2004 MC 197 with a GM Vortec TBI. When it is warmed up and idling in between ski sets it "stumbles" every once in a while. It almost stalls. It seems to run fine otherwise although I do notice some unburned gas in the water sometimes when it starts (hot). I have changed all the ususal tune up parts, had it on the Scanner (no codes), checked the Engine Temp. Sensor, run lots of Fuel injection cleaner, etc. I'm suspecting the Engine Temp. Sensor is faulty sending a bad reading to the ECM intermittently. Any ideas?

Hey I was wondering if you would be able to help me out. I am building a motor for my boat. (04 x-star) and was wondering if you knew the cam specs on the stock mcx350? I Am debating on running the stock cam or going with a little bigger one. Am pretty sure it is a zz4 crate motor cam but would like to know for sure. I found some numbers on the oe cam but can't seem to come up with any matches.

I have an X15 with MCX and the starboard manifold overheated causing a small fire at the exhaust hose clamp which overheated the motor. MC is covering under warantee but I'm wondering if this is a common problem and what precautions I should take in furture.

Hello! JimN recommended I try to reach you. "Contact EngineNut- he works for Indmar and can tell you what would cause the buzzer to sound and what to look for." I'm stumped and can't figure out why the engine alarm sounds constantly (from the time the key is activiated - "on" through the time when the engine is running. Never stops.) I have a posting under Team Help for the last few days. I had the boat "summerized" (oil change, transmission fluid change, replaced the impeller - part supplied by me). I didn't actually try to put the boat in the water until 6 weeks later and found the battery dead, no gas, and the center plug missing. I put gas in the boat, replaced the dead battery, got a new plug, and the alarm won't quit. I've checked the oil, run the engine checked heating system, oil pressure, run the RPMs up and down several times (on the trailer, in the lake). Can you help? I also checked the fuel tank area and noticed the hex-screws that hold the pump in the tank appeared loose. Light gas leakage. I tightened them up. I'm 3.5 hours from the MC dealer - boat seems fine, darn.
