Hey Odin! At the direct of TT members, I sent you an email (odin@earmarkcaraudio.com) regarding some sound system help! At times, my email tends to go into some people's junk folder. Just wanted to give you a shout and make sure you got it! My name is Brandt!

Please send me an email at odin@earmarkcaraudio.com. Cut and paste your questions below into the email. Our discussion is probably better handled via email, PM's can get to be an issue with detailed back and forth conversations.

I am a new TT member, long time MC owner. I have read several of your posts and your are obviously very knowledgeable on boat electronics, so I am hoping that you can give me some guidance. I have an '04 X-80 and am looking to do some significant stereo upgrade this fall / winter and am starting some planning now. I have already done some upgrades and the system sounds good, but I want more. I have 2 rev410's on my tower running from a 500 watt JL amp + the 6 boat speakers and factory sub running from 600 watt JL amp.

I'm looking to atleast double if not triple the power of the system, add a lot more bass, and redo the electrical system so that I can run it for extended periods of time while sitting on the lake. I want to do this right and money is not a barrier. I have not done anything with the alternator or batteries on the boat. Currently it is the stock alternator with 2 batteries connected through a manual perko switch. I'm looking to add automatic switching and a large bank of batteries, shore power charging, etc. (as I've read from several threads).

What guidance and suggestions can you give me? On the power side as well as the bass side. Also, I am thinking of doing most of this myself, but do you know a good shop in Atlanta (I considered driving to you but that is a long way to tow an X80). I really like what you did in the yellow X80 and blue X80 on your website.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.
