Hi, Eric. I have a 99 205 DD with ltr 350 and 1:1 (no slot), and need a new prop. Will use the boat for everything-kids knee board and tube, wife slaloms, kids learning to wakeboard, and just cruising. Looking for a good all around prop that will hopefully perform better than the original one. Seems a lot of people on the forum suggest a acme 541, I believe. What OJ prop do you suggest? I'm not a prop expert, and don't care if it's three or four blade. Thanks, Michael

Good morning Eric. I have a 2010 x2 with the MCX 350 engine in it. I believe it is the stock prop that i mangled yesterday afternoon while loading the boat. I would like to repair the prop but order a new one so I have a backup. The boat is used for wake boarding, surfing and slalom so I need a recommendation for a good all around prop. The boat has stock ballast and is usually run with 4-5 people in the boat.

Thanks in advance for any guidance as I have only had the boat for 1.5 seasons and this will be the first prop change. Do I need any special tools (ie. the c-clamp I saw on wakemasters)?

    Thanks, Greg

Hello Eric- New to the board and new to my 2015 X46. I live in KS and ordered it with the 6.2 and standard prop. OJ 14.75 x 17 V3. Last week I dinged the prop on a small limb and had it repaired. We boat at Table Rock in Missouri. I'm happy overall with the prop, but feel with loaded factory ballast, 6 larger adults, and some kids, that it could use a different prop under those conditions. The boat currently tops out at about 43-45mph and 5400 rpm with a couple of adults and 2 kids. We are new to this type of boat and all of capability it has. I think we will mostly surf, wakeboard, and some tube pulling for the kids. Any advice on a prop would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance,
    Barry

    Hello Eric,

I am considering a new prop for my 01 X-Star (330LTR). Hoping you can make a recommendation. I run stock KGB ballast and primarily hydrofoil throw in a little wake surfing here and there. I don't recall what prop I am running now, but I am pretty sure it is what came stock from MC.

    Thanks in advance,
    Brett

Hi Eric, have a 2005 x-10 with MCX 5.7. with stock ballast and prop. Getting ready to upgrade ballast to the following:

750 lbs in each rear locker

650 Lbs integrated sack in the bow

    Factory ski locker sack 275lbs?

    At sea level in Florida.

With usually only two people in the boat what is the best prop option?

Wakemakers recommends Acme1285, but I would like to hear your opinion.

We wakeboard and ,if I can get a big enough wake, would like to surf.

Don't care about top speed, mainly looking for easy take off, handling when loaded down and fuel economy...

    Thanks... :-)

Hi Eric, I have a 2013 XStar with the 7.4L ilmor. I just recently bought it used and it currently has an OJ 4 blade 14.75 x 17.5 prop. However, I live in Denver and our lake is at almost 6000 feet elevation.(Definitely, High Altitude) We only surf, anwill always have the boat heavily weighted with people, ballast and the Plug N Play ballast system. What prop do you suggest for our XStar based upon the info I provided?

    Eric,
We have a new to us 2007 MasterCraft Maristar 230 VRS. MCX 350hp motor. No tower, or ballast, yet Should have a tower next year. Ballast-TBD. We slalom, and now that we have our first V-Drive, we are trying wakeboarding and wake surfing. The prop is the stock OJ 14.25 X 14.5. Looks like it has been repaired a time or two. Do you have a recommendation/price for a replacement? The original can then be our spare. Thanks much,
    Steve

P.S. Wakemakers has a OJ 475 14.25 X 14.5. $549, after military discount, $500. Is this the best prop, or is that a newer model? Thnxs

    Hi Eric,

I have an 08 x-35 and it is leaking (stream not drip) through the dripless seal. Is there any adjustment possible or is it just a replacement seal I need to get?

    thanks,

    Scott

Hello Eric, Got a 1986 Prostar 351PCM 1:1 trans top rpm 4300 at sea level with the stock 13x13 3 blade. Looking for a new prop. I am currently happy with the performance that this prop gives me. My main concern is not to lose any top speed on what I have right now.. What would you suggest?

    Thanks, Brian
