I just came back across this and was hoping that you still had the extra tow bar. Let me know! I could have it made for about $100, would you consider selling it for that if you still have it?

Assuming that you installed the packing per the excellent instructions at that site, it seems to me that you likely don't have the packing tight enough. What kind of packing did you use? If you have a IR temperature gun, get out on the lake and run it for five minutes, check the temperature and tighten, run it for five minutes, check the temperature and tighten until the temp climbs. That's the right spot.

Thanks Frank!! I will bring a temp gun up with me this weekend. Do you know around how hot the nut/shaft should run?
