Hey ski king,
You always are well versed on technical issues on older boats and hope you may have an answer to my question.
We were out on the lake Sat nite idling around for over and hour. Got back close to the dock and the engine died. It would start right up again, but everytime I went to put it in gear, the engine would die. Fianlly got the baot back to the dock, opened the engine cover and everything look and felt normal except the coil which was hotter than hell, could hardly even touch it without burning your hand.
I was wondering if the red hot coil could have any bearing on the problem? I initially thought the gas might be vaporizing with the lack of air circulating through the engine compartment but the fuel line did not feel hot at all. The boat runs fine at normal operating speeds but this issue has me confused....Any thoughts?
Thanks
Steve
hey ski partner, I have another electrical question for you. I have a bunch of fuses missing from my fuse panel. I'm assuming I need a 20 amp fuse for the ingition switch but I don't have anything to refer to for what size fuses I need for the other items. thanks for any help you can send my way
