Just bought my first Mastercraft, a 1998 Prostar 190; coming from the CorrectCraft family. I am thrilled to become part of this family of boat owners. I've been searching this site and am finding a tremendous amount of information. There is a huge difference between these two boats, and I believe I have chosen the right side. I know there will be many questions and look forward to speaking with many of you who have owned Mastercraft for some time to tear me in the right direction.

I have an 89 tristar 190. I usually tow about 3 ski biscuits and rarely single ski.
I'm looking to get out of the hole quicker and to have more trottle control during whips than I currently have.
Am running 351 Indmar FNR 1:1 to a 13 x 13 x 3bl prop.
Am wanting to move to a 4 bl prop. Can anyone recommend a more suitable prop spec

Ok I have owned a Maristar 245vsr for 12 hours and I am excited to go out on it soon. I don't know much about it I traded my 27 Fountain fever for it, very bitter sweet, had the fever for 6 years. I loved my fever 70+ miles per hour but unfortunatly not much room for intertaining and hard to talk at 70 miles per hour. I think that we are really going to enjoy our new 2005 Maristar. I may need some help with tech questions I have never owned and inboard. I am looking for manuals if any one knows where I can get them. I am also looking for a factory table and info on the trailer buddy auto clip. I will add pictures soon. Thanks for your support

Had my 77 S&S out for the first time since fixn the water pump, burnt exhaust hoses, alternator, starter and a bunch of other misc odds and ends. Fired right up and ran smooth and cool for a couple hours. I turned it off to go for a swim and the sucker would not start. The solonoid was clicking. Tried hot shoting the starter with the batt but got nothing. Turned out to be a 1/4" lock washer that somehow got lodged between the gear on the starter and the fly wheel. That little washer had me stuck in the lake for an hour and sitting off to the side of the ramp for a couple more. A really cool mechanic who brought some tools along on a family fourth of July camping trip fixed me up and got us back on the lake.
