    Hi Russ,

Yes, there are actually a couple of "Jims" down in TN.

There is one who a number of people have used that has been called "the man" for his work. But if you search around, there is also some comments about him being slow and/or unresponsive. He use to work for MC and now works independently out of his house. I called him and got a quote just for doing the skins when I did my search. His contact info:

    Jim - "Upholstery Guy"
    (865) 679 2246 cellphn

The Jim who helped with my interior owns a pretty good sized shop down in TN called Viper Customs. His shop was all about building these sweet custom boats, but when the economy slowed he put his guys to work restoring boats instead. The folks he has in the vinyl shop are top notch. I was not thrilled with the work Viper did to my trailer and the carpet installation was so-so, but that was an different group of individuals then the vinyl and I don't think Jim was thrilled either. Although in the end I had him install the interior, he quoted me a few hundred dollars less for just building the skins than "the man" quoted. Viper Customs can be contacted at:

I had a very difficult time deciding between Viper and a third place called Leading Edge. They quoted the same price. Some of the work I have seen pics of is amazing, I would probably try them next time as Viper took longer than promised (but I did have them do the work in spring, which is their high season).

Finally, I would also check out http://www.copycatcovers.com/ Somewhat mixed results on the discussion boards, but in general people seam satisfied. They are fast.

Thanks for the positive comments, and best of luck with your restoration. It will be worth the hard work, we had a fantastic summer after cleaning up our boat.
