After months of reading posts and sitting on the sidelines I decided to take the plunge. Today we ordered a new X-45 scheduled for a late April delivery.

It's had to believe that I bought a boat that has not yet been released but after test driving an X-Star and looking at what the X-45 has to offer, I think it will be a great boat.

I was just excited and had to share.....

I guess I've been too busy lately, I didn't know about the X-45, should be a sweet ride. Looking through the spec pages, I see MC lists it with a single axle trailer, yet the boat weight is 4600#. My X-30 is 3300# and is listed with a double axle. Surely the single axle must be a mistake.

Great! Wow, 8.1L! It will be a long winter until April!

Thanks for the welcome. It will be a long wait til April but boating in Colorado between now and then is a little cold.

The boat right now is ordered all Monterey Blue (bottom, sides, wedge and above the rub rail) with no graphics. It will only have the Mastercraft logo on the lower rear sides of the boat. We may install graphics from Mastercraft by Design.

As far as the trailer goes I did not even consider a single axle one. I believe it is a mis-print that they even offer a single axle trailer for this size boat.

WakePowell-Where do you ski in the Denver area. I have an old friend who is an ex-pro show skier who lives in Castle Rock. I'm sure that he would love to take advantage of your new addition! Welcome aboard!-Tex

Tex,

Primarily we boat at Lake Powell. Occasionally we will go to Chatfield or Pueblo.

Looks like a sweet ride. They had a good article about the X-45 in the Fall 2004 Star.

Please say you wont take that boat to the dirtiest lake in the big CO, Peeblo resevoir....... Its too classy, too nice, too clean, and too new of a boat to be put in that God-forsaken "lake".
