I've installed an Accel 8140 coil and a Pertronix electronic ignition on a pleasurecraft 351W in an '83 S&S. I left the stock mallory 700 ballast resistor in the ignition circuit. (recommended by Pertronix). The engine runs great but I've noticed the coil gets very hot. Is this normal?
