Chain to the gas cap

I have a 210 VRS and i think the little chain fell down the gas tube into my tank. Is there a screen or protection against the chain getting sucked up into the motor. Sorry for the stupid question.

yes there is a screen, and often another baffle type thing to prevent debris from going up into the fuel line.

That reminds me of something I need to do...I've heard those 'ball chains' can be notorious for breaking and loosing your gas cap in the water. You might want to look at replacing it with a 'loop and hook' chain. Just make sure it can handle the corrosiveness of gasoline.

thx for the reply and yes we lost the orig cap and had to buy the whole set up but i just use the cap off of it.

You must be carefull with that chain ... I saw another MC lose his gas cap last weekend because it broke and fell in the lake while filling up at the dock. Bummer.
