BOR decision is in, record of decision (http://www.usbr.gov/mp/mp150/envdocs/CCAO_Berryessa_ROD%20Final.pdf) there will be big changes at Lake Berryessa, by 2008 all privately owned trailers on federal land will have to be removed, those areas will be developed for day and overnight use. this is great news for the average boater, Berryessa had almost become a private lake. press release (http://www.usbr.gov/newsroom/newsrelease/detail.cfm?RecordID=12141)

Yes this is true! I think it has it's pro's & con's like everything else. My fiance's parents are getting rid of their trailer up there next year at Berryessa Marina. Hopefully this will make a better place for the public! Be nice to have more launches & places on the water to camp.
This decision is a good thing I think. The lake shore has been in need of a cleanup for a long time. And the campgrounds too.
I am hoping that this will lower the launch fees also. $300 is way to much for a season pass. :(

I hear you on the over priced launches! We pay $100 to use a 2 mile section of river, and if the lot at the ramp fills up, they close the launch for the rest of the day :mad:

man, our river/lake has several public launches ... with free parking ... you get to use a few hundred miles of shoreline for free:)

We will be up there July 1st through the 4th. Berryessa Marina.

man, our river/lake has several public launches ... with free parking ... you get to use a few hundred miles of shoreline for free:)
too bad your season is about 3 months shorter :D

be there for the day of 1st, put in at Pleaseure cove and hang in the dam area, and the 2 - 5mph coves for swims and lunch. lets hook up

I wont be in the water until Saturday night. Probably wont be cruisin until Sunday.
