Call Hoosier Bob, JR, Dan.....and on and on!!! That is too bad because it is so important to try what you have learned quickly.

Thinking (or not thinking) out loud but...Find a dealer that has a 30 day, no questions asked return policy. Not sure if such a thing even exist.
Though it is the most preferred, you don't need a MC to practice what you have learned. Good Luck.

I thought you were selling, so you won't have a boat anyways

Its amazing not one person from MC or the dealers has asked if I need a boat to ski behind while they figure all this out...not once!!!

I would feel bad about using a boat and returning it...I would wantt o screw some guy just cause I'm getting screwed, you know?

ntidsl

you are right eric, but while I am making payments on a 40 grand boat I'd like to ski...once I am no longer paying on this boat...I'm done with all of this...and where is jeff!!!!

If that lake was within a decent driving distance from me there would still be a MC in my garage.
Older MC's still pull just fine too. ;)

True, I forgot your still paying for it.....in that case, the dealer should probably be willing to work something out with you.

I can understand the frustrations you have had with your boat. Having a new (or almost new) 40K+ boat and not being able to get it fixed would drive any sane person crazy.

But if I understand right, it is fixed now, ready to go and for sale.

Why not just drop it in the water and ski if you havn't sold it yet?
Or is the boat still at the dealer?
Maybe I am missing something.

as soon as i got it back I noticed the DBW computer was fried...they told me they had it all fixed but they didn't, they never put it in the water and never looked up at the PP display which looks like chinese lettering...so right now its here at my shop without a DBW control module...they are making arrangements to get the parts to me because I told them I dont have time nor the will to take it back to the dealer cause I'm not keeping it anyway...i have lost my patience with this boat...

that being said, if the right person gets the boat and is willing to let a reliable dealer work it for a while it would be a good boat...actually later this week after I put a whole new compuer system in it it may be a good boat...just not mine...

not the point of the thread though...just wanted to know what you guys would do

Now that I know more about the details.

I would take a day(or 2) off work and hook up the boat and drive to Vonroe TN, but that me.

well it seems like your at your ropes end like i was with that boat. although your boat seems to be way more fokered up than mine ever was..
you have three options as i see it

1) give up boat ownership entirely ( not my favorite )
2) buy a older cheaper boat to get you through the summer , and then figure out what to do during the winter months..
3) buy a brand new boat

vonore isnt that far...you are right! good idea...biy how'd they like that...me out in the parking lot beeping like a mad man..."here ya go!!!" I'm leaving it right here...I want my check by the end of the week" lol

You'd see my on the local news..."mad man leaves boat in parking lot and drives away... later he was found at the local Malibu dealer applying for credit with one week terms...more at 11pm"

NT, I have seen MC step up and take care of issues such as these. The most important thing is the lines communication. Maybe I missed something, I didn't realize the problems that you were having. Are you in communication with anyone with MC direct? It appears to me that you have kept this low key instead of bashing on the forum which is a good thing.

ntidsl
06-19-2006, 11:55 AM
well I'm glad you think i have been low key...i thought i was a raving lunatic honestly...i have been dealing with greg clower and today bipassed him and went to aarne, the TT director...

they are doing everything they can i hope...

earlier it was a situation where they explained that even though i was saying get me out of this boat, they were doing everything they could to keep me int he boat, which i can understand but last week that all changed...

Just so you know, you need to work through Greg. Aarne is simply helping Greg out but by no means is a "by-pass". Greg is the one with authority to remedy the situation.

your boatless too then huh? did your boat sell? how bad is life without it or is life normal?

I had my potoon boat kicking this weekend at least...but if one more person asks me about my boat...I'm gonna kill someone..."hey what you find out about your boat", "you cant go boatless you've always had a boat", "you gonna get a malibu then man"...on heres its not so bad...but when you are drinking and trying to forget about it...its annoying

aarne's name came up when i was talking to jodi fisher about it, thats the only reason i contacted him...Geg also mentioned his name since he is the tour guy...he seemed very receptive and helpful as greg has...greg is just so busy...he's a very busy man...

eventually they will get that boat fixed and it will make a great boat like mine has for someone esle. i feel your pain and its hard to keep a straight head during all this , espeically when you see others enjoying their boats and your not. mine broke on both houseboat vacations last summer and i was furious to say the least. you cant get back those days off ... time will pass and im sure you be back on the water soon..

I think you need a serious reality check. It's just a boat. I would never let anything and I mean anything have this much control over my life. **** happens deal with it...................you can make lemons or lemonade, the choice is entirely yours.

You bought a used boat any you expect everyone to jump thorugh hoops to help you out. Yes it is under warranty, and is being fixed under warranty. Sometimes it takes time, especally during the busy season. It appears MC is doing their best yet you are not happy. I think you are one of those people that cannot be pleased no matter what and just complains and complains.

Did you buy this boat from this dealer or from another person? I know my dealer would give me a loaner in a heartbeat if I had these type of problems (none of which i have had in all my years). However, I have bought 2 boats from him, support him with referals, try to be a reasonable customer, and do not expect him to put everything down to take care of me. Did you ask for a loaner?

IMHO of course..........

Yo dude! Sorry I was in a golf tourney today.

I can't imagine what it is like considering all the guys except you on your lake are Malibu tourney drivers. Dude you must be getting some serious ribbing! I'd be embarrased by your boat (as sweet as it is) and it's lack of performance too. I'm there with ya brutha we can crack open a few coronas and waller in the frustration if you like.

We were out on the river this weekend for Fathers day too! I really wanted to boat down to Captain Mikes Riverwatch, dock, eat and walk around. Took the stroller with us and after eating an early dinner we walked a mile or two along the river. Came back to Captain Mikes, had dessert and got on the boat and rode home. It was funny but boy that water is dirty! Took a lot cleaning when I got home!

Yep it's way cleaner down your way in Warsaw area. Up in my area its still a little rough. We launched out at Horseshoe and made our way out to the river. It was pretty funny, my 11 month old was wide awake during the smooth ride out to the river, we get to the river and the wind had picked up to about 2' chop. Cruising along at 11 mph in rough water she falls right a sleep, go figure

Threadjack over!
