Here are some emails passed back and forth between MasterCraft, Geno Yauchler and Bay Area WaterSports.

Jason PR at MC may also place a call out to owners
Unique opportunity for TELEVISION

Team athlete Geno Yauchler is preparing for a most unusual stunt (attached). We could encourage our owners (especially those in the Tampa area) to participate with their boats if they so chose. Please consider this for a TeamTalk thread, and let me know what you decide.

Subject: Fwd: Need some boats

Hey guys, I thought I would formally ask for some assistance in getting this thing done. Any help you could supply to the show would be greatly appreciated. We are talking about some huge exposure, and it would be great to get Master Craft some much deserved exposure on how durable the X-80 is. At least, that was my thoughts. Also, any other help, such as connections with big boat owners would be very helpful. As it says in my attached e-mail, I will need the boats for 5 days of shooting, with the last day being the most important. I was thinking X-80 as the tow boat, and any other boats you want in the shot as film boats. It is explained below.

I need to know what you can do along with Jim and the gang at Bay Area ASAP. My contact is expecting an update on Friday.

Thanks for your continued support. I hope to make you proud. 23' or bust!

going huge,

Hey all you connected foilers. Here's what's going on. I got a call from a TV show called stunt junkies. They are on the discovery channel. http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/stuntjunkies/episode/episode.html They do a half hour show highlighting 1 athlete from various sports. We are going to do a show, most likely in the Tampa Bay area, and I am looking for a few boats. The most important one is the kicker wake boat. I'm not looking for an X-80, that would be way too small. I need a tsunami wake, with a minimum of 7' high swells that we can use for up to 5 days from the 21st to the 25 of August. Stunt day is the 25. I figure a large cabin cruiser that can get up to speed would do the trick. How big? I don't really know, but I can guess over 50', with minimum top speed at 25 mph. I also need another boat to travel behind it at the same speed, right in line with my path, only head on, to jump over. The goal is to clear 23', and this boat is the clearance bar. So, as you are guessing, I want to be waaaaay above it, minimizing my risk of death. I figure a 7 foot wake would put me somewhere in the 30 foot high range. However if I don't get enough height, With a combined speed of aprox. 55 mph, well, do the math. I would like this boat to be about 15-20 feet high, with boxes to fill up the last of the 23' margin. The tow boat will most likely be an X-80, depending on MC's participation. Then we will be needing another 4 boats, as they are looking at 7 different angles, and maybe a helicopter. The show does have a budget, but I am guessing just the fuel for this is going to be in the thousands, so any help I can get to put this together, such as someone who would like to get on National TV for allowing us to use there boat for this, or if they just want there boat on TV, I will start the bidding there. I would like to avoid renting the boats, as this can be very expensive. So, anyone out there who has such a boat, or knows someone who does, or knows someone who knows someone who does, let me know. This should surpass the Water Channel exposure hydrofoil will be getting from the tournament, (not that it will be bad), and another huge push for this sport. (Anyone know how many households get the Discovery Channel?) Time is short. I need to give this guy some more info on boats by Friday. Thanks. Geno
