PS-190 Hull Vs PS-197 Hull - Are they the same?

I've always been told they have the same exact hull, but looking at MC's web site, the 190 lists an EVO hull and the 197 doesn't mention it. They have an upside down photo of the 190 EVO hull which has a small set of chines my 197 doesn't have. Any ideas why? What effect would they have?

generally chines are used for for lift out of the water.
