Okay possibility that this is a dumb question! Really want the bimini to match the boat. Only problem it is only 1 season old from Johnson. So does anyone have any idea if the Sunbrella material could be dyed? Or would that just really screw up the benefits of the material.

I do not think I will dye! If I were you, I would just pull the material off the frame and take it to a canvas shop to have it replaced with matching material. I recently had my bimini re-made and it was around $200.

I pretty much assumed this was the case but thought why not throw it out there and see if it's possible.

No you cannot dye it. It is a solution dyed fabric made with an acrylic fiber that will not absorb the die.

Is there anything you don't know? :D How about the rolling friction of my BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A's?

Just messing with you... But - man... you sure seem to know a lot.:headbang:

Ha, ha.......jack of all trades I guess. I have had all kinds of different jobs and I know this one because my current venture deals with textiles and we use Sunbrella as a raw material for a few of our finished goods. Great stuff BTW.
