Guess I could call the dealer, but they never answer the phone. I cannot find a Pennzoil pz3 anywhere in nashville area. Anybody know where I can find one?

I would call Napa, Oreilieys, Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts and if they dont have it then you probably can stop at a oil change place in town and maybe they would have it. I believe valvoline and Penzoil have these type of places. You could also check with Jim at BAWs or Lex at Rambo Marine they can surely send you one.

There are two dealers that frequently post on here:

Mike (MYMC (http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/private.php?do=newpm&u=54)) http://mymastercraft.com/ (North Carolina)

and Jim (Jim@Baws (http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/private.php?do=newpm&u=357)) http://www.bayareawatersports.com/ (Florida)

Send either of them a PM (click on their blue names above as I inserted a hyperlink) or use the contact info, and you will likely get better service than you are used to:)

Also, Eric (Erkoehler) works @ Chicago Mastercraft in salels, and I'll bet he could hook up up with that part

Erk is a post-hoe, so I bet he will reply first:) Regardless, there are 3 places to try.

You have several options available as replacements for the Penzoil filter. Here they are,

NAPA 1069
BALDWIN B27
WIX 51069
GMC 6437412

Personally, I went up to Auto Zone and bought the biggest baddest filter that would fit. There is plenty of room for a longer filter, I would guess that the ones I am using are at least 30% longer than stock.

Does it help? Who knows. I just figured that more surface area on any type of a filter is a good thing. I have been happy with the high end bosch filters so far.

Anyone know if its a bad idea to switch filters? I cannot fathom why it would be, but who knows.

Sorry I'm late on this one...the post-hoe was sleeping in today:)

Let me know if you still need help with the filter situation.

Napa Gold 1069. Very high quality filter. Easily sourced at any Napa store for about $8
