If all goes well :headbang: - I should take delivery of a 2006 X2 in a couple days. I'd like to have my whips set on my dock before the boat arrives. First - should I attach to the cleats or would the Bow and Stern eyes be better? Could someone with an 06 X2 measure and reply with the distance between the cleats or eyes?

Thanks!

All the way at the bow and stern. I would say about 18' apart.

Would'nt this be better addressed to your servicing dealer?
Not trying to be roude at all. Why make someone on the site
take there time to measure when your sales guy should be doing this for you.

I agree - my salesman should be helping me out with this type of thing, but I can't get them to call me back about serious stuff - let alone little things like this...

Um....wouldn't that be a sign not to buy from them?

Either way, I think there is still an X2 in the showroom or on the lot somewhere.....I'll measure tomorrow.

Unfortunately, if you want a mastercraft and your local dealer has subpar service, you don't have much of a choice.... I can attest to that. Although after buying a brand new boat they do seem to be a little more receptive. Also a case of beer in the boat when it goes in for service seems to go a long ways too.

Sometimes you don't know how good or bad a dealer is until after you actually write the check. Even if he knew beforehand, if the guy's got a bad dealer, wants to buy a MasterCraft, and doesn't want to buy from that dealer...well...we've already seen the hassle Jeff had to go through to buy from someone other than his "local" dealer.
