I have a 90 tri-star and want to get a tower for it. Does anyone know of some web-sites I should check. Any recomendations also would be appreciated. My boat is the 22' if it makes any difference. I looked at Big Air Pylons and that looks alright, has anyone seen or tried it? I'll be looking back on here later but would love to hear some feedback on this. See you guys on the lake!

Checkout New Dimension Towers and Monster Towers. I see a lot of them as "aftermarket" and they seem to look and hold-up well and appear to have a wide range of boats they can mount to.
Good Luck.

I went with monster because I rode and saw a few...solid, simple and looks great on the boat. I just finished hooking up some wetsounds it looks as good as it sounds...
$ factor...1000shipped vs 2000on Up.

Had a New Dimension tower installed on my 98 Sport Star last Fall. Works great - Would definitely recommend!

I would say Monster tower, but if your boat is a tristar 220, that has a big beam on it. Monster tower might not be your best bet. That Dimension is more, but they look sharp! I got a monster tower on mine and love it. Again, my boat is a row boat in size compared to yours.

Tom....i just emailed that guy about that tower. Is it a good tower...i have an 82 s&s and am thinking about getting one with my graduation money from college and i am looking a monster or that one on ebay...i like the monster but i also like the fact that the tower on ebay will be built specifically for my boat. Does it fold down?

it's a great tower. about the same amount of flex as my buddies factory moomba tower, no noise from it and it will fold. i dont know how easily it folds since i've had no need to do it yet.
i didnt get mine powder coated for cost reasons. i just polished it with mothers and it shines like chrome.

Second the ND tower. They're spendy. I lucked out and found a used one, or may not have sported for the ND, but it fits well, no flex, no rattles and looks OEM (if they would've had OEM towers in 96).

Does anybody make a mini tower for older boats. I love the look of the mini on the 197s, and I think the regular towers look too out of scale on most boats. Any suggestions. Maybe one of these custom guys would do it? I'd think about putting one on my '97 205 if I could get a mini.

Brandonit has some hand screws on the front to fold it. i havent had the need to do it so i cant give you an honest answer on that one.

the racks are Bat Racks, i got them off ebay as blems. 250 bucks for the pair. the color is a bit off on them in spots. the whole boat is a scratch and dent special though so i didnt really care. :D

I like 13th floor as well, both me and my cousin have them on our boats a '99 195 and '00 205. Lots of customization available and never any problems.

i just put a new roswell tower on my '90 tristar 190. Looks awesome, was easy to put on, doesn't make any noise and doesn't budge. Best tower i've seen.

Installed an XTP tower a couple weeks ago. Install was not that difficult except for some issues with the SS bolts being defective. Hardest part was glassing in the backing plates under the rear mounting legs. Not much room there. Looks good and solid as well. Best part is getting all the toys off the floor.

Nice looking tower  ....how'd it compare to the ND?

What towers did you look at and what did you learn about each...cost, features, quality, etc?

What towers did you look at and what did you learn about each...cost, features, quality, etc?JohnnyB, thanks for the compliments. I have not seen a ND tower and I really wanted to get the 04-05 MC tower b/c when folded its a little lower profile than the Zero Flex. I have a 7' arched garage, so the newer tower would have been the ticket. I really liked the idea of the swivel racks as well. But I had to get a tower on asap for a planned vacation and didn't spend much time looking at other towers other than ND, Icor, Sampson, monster and a few others. I ended up with the XTP b/c I was told that they make the Zero Flex Flyer for MC. Price was good and with free shipping I couldn't pass up on the XTP. Sorry I don't have any experience with these other tower manufactures, but the XTP appears to be just like the Zero Flex Flyer's I've personally seen on other boats in my area. Only draw back is now my bimini does not fit (to wide) so I'm looking at modifying it or getting a new one for a tower.

I have recently seen a lot of boats with the Xtreme Phat Tower from Phat Budde... They look really good... considering one for my '90 190 Prostar. They also make a bimini and mirror that mount on the the tower. Would be curious to hear if anyone has any experiecne with this tower.
