I just got back from taking the MasterCraft factory tour and all I can say is WOW!
We all know that MasterCraft makes the best ski and wakeboard boats, but what you may not know is that the people that make up the company are amazing.
The very first person we meet was Lyne. She was very nice.
When I told her that Harold P. (TMC#1) said hi, she asked me where the doughnuts and cookies were. Thanks for that Harold! How am I supposed to smooze these folks when Harold brings EVERYONE in the company doughnuts and/or cookies, 500+ people?!? :D

She was very nice and I see why Harold has such a great bond with those folks.

Next we met Greg C. Again, very nice to meet you and thanks for the amazing tour and hospitality. My wife and I really enjoyed seeing the factory and look forward to many more trips to Vonore for MC events.

I took about 50 pictures and will post as many as I can, as soon as I go through and resize them all.

If anyone ever has the chance to get to Vonore, TN please take the time to take this tour. You will not be disappointed!

Glad you got there OK, hope my directions weren't too confusing. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour, as I can still smell the resin as I sit here and type. Did you get to see Jason?
Did you and the wife get a MC plant tour t-shirt?

Your directions were perfect! It was like you had been there before. ;) :D
Yeah, that resin is strong smellin' stuff!

No, we didn't meet Jason. He was busy when we got through the tour.
Yes we got the shirts! :headbang:

Nice pictures Beau! Don't you feel funny walking through where the guys are dressed like astronauts?

Next time I'm bringing back a core from where they drill out for the paddle, amazing how think the hull is!

I was more thinking, should I be wearing one of those suits?!?

I brought back a puck! It is very cool to see all of the layers of the hull.

Pucks cool but as the big "M" a boat would have been better! A bigger boat to accomodate the addition if you know what I mean! ;) I was more thinking, should I be wearing one of those suits?!?

my friend took a tour of the Factory, and he said that you are about 4 inches taller after you walk out because of all the fiberglass you walk through.

Some of the pics didn't turn out as planned. They are a bit blurry. Sorry...

The 280/X80 is so big that it has to be molded in it's own area of the plant. That mold is HUGE!

The engine covers, ski lockers and other smaller items are molded separately.

I should have shot this with the lense thru the fence as my camera wanted to focus on the chain link.
Anyway, here is the testing waters. This is only about 150 yards from where the boats are born. The boats see this when they come out into the daylight!

They are putting the final touches on the hull. Sanding all of the rough edges off.

we did the tour in January. Really is an awesome sight. Did you do any "other" tours while you were out there? We made a day of it and saw the BU and Supra plant too.

Everyone should do that, really solidifies why you bought an MC.
