I wonder what the homeland security act says about towing a boat through the airport?
Probably not much unless your boat has a machine gun turret mounted in it. :uglyhamme

Interesting you bring that up though. I flew to San Antonio last week & as I was unpacking things I realized I had carried on board my little Swiss Army pocket knife. I guess that is considered an act of terrorism or something.

Time for a 'rita.....

Regardless of the question, a pretty safe answer is that the government can take your property.

That's meant with a hint of irony. Sadly, it's becoming more and more true each day, whether under the auspices of homeland security or not.

5 a.m. it will be ski time. Wednesday was awesome. I slalom and slalom only. When I get tired I wakeboard. I tried the wakeskate out for the first time and had a blast. This weekend I'll mix both in. I will work up a nice beer buzz tonight and get up to find perfect water and nothing but time on my hands. Cheers!

Ahh yes, the saga continues
I'll have to start a new thread or something if I keep this up.
Short version of the story is that 9 months after trade-in of my 190, I finally took delivery of my new 197 with a half a dozen dealer promises still to be fixed on the thing. It's been absolute HELL, but it is a beautiful boat!
Ran a buncha breakin hours this weekend, toasted to a long a toilsome journey on Saturday AND
Skiid it for the first time yesterday evening WITHOUT PP operating properly and love the feel, the tracking, the power, the wake and being at the other end of the rope.

I mixed lots of scotch and red wine (not in the same glass of course) at a wedding in NYC last weekend. The results were not pretty and, sadly, many hors díoeuvres were tragically wasted at nights end. I'm playing it safe this weekend with Mexican Beer.

Good to here Pete.

Not like over here let's not profile anyone. Gimme a break yeah lets stop the 90 year old granny or the the Marine wearing his service dress while they get on the plane or subway. I mean we wouldn't want to offended any middle eastern people. Maybe we should start profiling the mid-easterners and when they get sick of it they can go police their own kind.

You guys are in good hands over their Pete. Your EOD guys are the very "best" in the world. I've done some training with them before. When it comes to IED's their is no one better not even the Israelis. Just a fun thought for Mag Mania.... we are having a huge get together this next week up at a lake just east of Shasta, Ca. There will be 25 to 30 families traveling to camp, ski, tube, and drink of course. One requirement for the trip is to bring a strange alcohol to share...pass the bottle. I have found some nasty stuff...a danish liquer called...and I'm not spelling it correctly...aquavit, a bottle of old V-Satui Madera I found in my closet and this god awful looking bottle of what I don't know. So, Mania group, begin the search for the weird and hurtful. :eek3:

Most anything will work, (it can even be the clear stuff). If you want you can top any rita off with a half shot of an Anejo, or go all out and make it with all good stuff.

Personally I use house tequila for the mixed drinks (clear/relatively cheap). And drink the good stuff out of a juice glass..

Dont ask how I got this recipe. It has won Margarita of the year for many many years in Colorado. It sounds wild but just try it once, you'll like em and also understand why they have a 2 drink max.

Ingredients:

Top Shelf Tequila
TripleSec
Everclear
Rose's Lime Juice
Apple Juice ( I would not recommend one that doesn't have sugar/sweetener in it)

Mix:

2 jiggers of Tequila, 1 1/2 jiggers of Triplesec, 1 jigger of everclear over ice. Still lightly. Add approx. 1 1/2 jiggers of Lime Juice and 4 jiggers of Apple Juice. Enjoy!!! (And don't plan on driving anywhere even after one, they will rock your world!!)

Not legal to sell in some states. It's like 100% pure alcohol. Think moonshine. It's clear and EXTREMELY strong! Ask your local liquor store for it. Its not expensive

Yeah its pretty strong stuff. I am sure it's safe to mix drinks with. The place that makes them has 5 or 6 restaraunts and they are known statewide and probably nationally for their Rita. However, do drink them in moderation.

Here's my disclaimer:

Bold Print: If you feed these to hot slims you are required to post swimsuit thread pics!! :uglyhamme

Wild Wings has some good food.

We had one in Statesboro when I was in college. I was there 6 days a week (they were closed on Sunday). At the Statesboro store they had a wing sauce called golden eagle wing (it is close to the golden whatever they have now) I would get burgers marinated in this and they were unbelievable.

The bucket of beer got me through college.

The one in North Charleston is actually right across the street from Hooters.

Isnt it funny what us guys use as landmarks of reference?? :D :uglyhamme

I wasn't using it as a landmark. They are both similar resteraunts. Actually, Wild Wings has way better Wings (100 flavors) and is pretty relaxed place with lots of beers on tap. Why you put one across from the other I would think is not the best buisness decision.

I may already be ahead of you! Hope you are a fast study! Today was very cool. I was weak but all in all a very nice ski day. Leroy, dan, dave and myself looked pretty tore up after 3-4 sets each behind the ole 93'. Ran perfect and we all got some glaaaaasssss! Nice day for the wipeout thread although I do not know if Leroy got the pics. I warned him any pics I do not approve of and I have a few of him that will be posted. The one with the sheep will def make him angry! :uglyhamme

It was very cool. Us oldies ski and then sit and watch the young pups over our morning cup of Joe. Today we slalomed, waked and skated. Leroy tore up the wakeboard but has yet to skate. He will be doing kick flips in no time. There is no better (maybe one) start to a day than skiing. Even better when you return home to get the other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is something a woman loves about a guy who stinks of Mastercraft! :uglyhamme
