Dangit...missed out on this one today...

Went to a crab feed, but was late because of all the "homeland security" paperwork at the dang Toyota dealership.

Ended up with to plastic cups of mediocre wine and one martini afterward...had to get home for another cocktail :D

By the way, I've had this happen too. I think it happens if you're logged in from another computer, even if that one's not on at the moment. You know how TT remembers that you are logged in when you come back? It has to do with that. It seems to only let you be logged in from one computer at a time.

I know it's not for everyone, but I'm a BIG fan of Red Bull. It's a bit on the sweet side, and really you can only have two or three without getting that sugar rush feeling, but Bacardi Limon and Red Bull is real tasty! I've got a dollar bill in there from the late 70s or very early 80s. Good times back then. Fox's is still on the reservation part or parker isn't it?

I ask because of that big house/apartment building there. Back in the day you could really tell when the reservation turned into owned land. The houses just got bigger while on the reservation leased land they were just small flop houses.

I remember seeing Mike Murphy coming down the river on an early set of hydroskis long before the AirChair was invented. We were sitting on the Kreiger's dock near sunset and here came some long haired dude on a set, well one I guess since it was all glassed together, of skis but he was out of the water riding on a foil.

Mai Tai

Ingredients

12 oz Pineapple Juice
12 oz Island Guava Juice < hard to find but don't substitute it out for something else
6 oz Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum
3 oz Meyer's Dark Rum
Preparation Pour it all into a pitcher and mix well. What else, pour over ice and enjoy! Make sure you walk the dog and do whatever chores you need to do before you start drinking, because you wont be going anywhere once you start!

OK then, I'll go with this recipe...because this is what I'm doin this evening.

1 12 bottle of Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA
1 Bottle opener
1 Imperial Pint glass
1 Person who likes beer

Open bottle using bottle opener. Tip pint glass very slightly and pour contents of bottle into glass at a decent rate, creating approximately a 1" head. Don't glug it in, and don't pour it like a pansy. Bring glass up to face and smell the amazing hops, then consume the contents of glass. Repeat as necessary. Thoroughly enjoy!

Sounds good, I'll have to try it. But there are almost as many Mai Tai recipes as people who drink them. The real Mai Tai was invented in 1944 at Trader Vics in Oakland http://www.tradervics.com/mai-tai-1.html . It has no juice in it, except a little from a lime. I tried one at Emeril's restaurant and I make them at home now. Here's the recipe they use, which is true to the original:

1-ounce dark rum (recommended: Myers's)
1-ounce gold rum (recommended: Barbancourt)
1/2-ounce orange curacao
1/4-ounce almond-flavored liqueur
1/2-ounce simple syrup
1/2 lime, juiced

Here is my recipe for what I used to call a Mai Tai, but now I call it a rum punch. It goes down easy and is potent:
1 cup Myer's rum
1 cup Bacardi light rum
2 cups OJ
3 cups pineapple juice
juice from 1 lime
generous splash of Grenadine

Mix in a pitcher, pour over ice.

I ask because Pearl is made in the distillery that my brother in law runs. Guess it's kind of like a shamless plug, but the product is unbelievable.

Whats wrong with Miller Lite? When out on the boat, I'm just looking for a good, economical beer to quench a thirst. Plus its often a good common demoninator among drinkers. if you load up with a cooler full of a specialty beer, some won't drink it. Coors light is good too, but doesn't fit in a standard coozy very well. :toast:

Coors light is good, but it doesn't fit tightly into a standard coozy. Best cheap boating beer for me is Miller Lite. :twocents:

Fits nicely in the $5 MC coozies from the proshop.:D Unless one of the big boys stretches it out.;)

True on they fit in those types, but i prefer the thick $1.99 coozy with the cheezy sayings on them such as "If you think noboby cares, try missing a payment" They add stability if the beer is set down on a seat or whathaveyou.

 Whats so gay about what I wrote? Perhaps if i said I like coozies with velvet texture and flowers, then that would be gay.

Second beer down. Going to a white trash party tonight. Flannel with sleeves cut off, jeans cut up real short, cowboy boots at the ready.

Damnit I forgot to grow a mullet and buy an 82 Camaro with sidepipes...
