one more....

Bill Doster must have huge stones to sit in the water and let someone use him as a gate!

Cool shot indeed!! Looks like the camera is about to get wiped out.

Too bad that beautiful and talanted skier is mislead about the skiboat of choice.

Those are indeed cool shots.

I was thinking the same thing at first, but my guess is that with even a medium telephoto lens he'd be a substantial distance from the skier.

Yea, he is being towed behind the same boat on a slightly shorter rope than the skier. looks awesome!! I am gonna buy a aquapac for my Canon Rebel, borrow my friends tube, and coax my dad to revisit his hoobyist shutterbug days again and get on the tube!!!! :D
i want pics like that!!!

that photographer can take 24 exposures 36MPH at 43 off ;)

Your right it is on this month's cover . The photographer is laying on his stomach on a tube being pulled by a shorter line,

Wow! Riding backwards on a tube at (at least) 32 mph holding on to more than $5000 worth of camera gear...that guy does have stones...

That is cool, but I think I'd be a lot less worried 25 feet up on a Wego Kite Tube... ;)

And the whole time I thought it was a midget barefooting in front of her with a camera on his back, joking.....

Bill Doster is a cool dude and has to have big garbonzo beans to do a 2 hour photoshoot of out TowRig at 7:00am, @ Lake Lanier Islands, GA, for the Fall 2003 issue of Boating Life Magazine, titled "Show Stoppers".

ideally its impossible for the skier to hit the tuber in this situation, being that the tube is in front, though there are times when skiers manage to hit the boat. but then again, i doubt they're running PB line length either.

Now just HOW the he11 does a skier hit the boat???

I can see more risk of the photographer falling off the tube and getting hit by the skier

Skiers can hit the boat if they load up real strong and end up traveling way faster than the boat and then decide that they want to return to the wake after the bouy, the end result, you can run into the side of the boat. Of course you don't have a tight line through anything beyond where you ski past the boat. in the forwards direction.

This photo was taken on my lake...Lake Hiawassee in Orlando, FL. My house is just down the shoreline form the background of the photo. It is interesting to watch these guys do a photo shoot.
