I will try to get a picture but my buddy has had alot of problems with his Sanger getting the stereo intalled correctly for alot of reasons including him! He took the boat in to have it done last week and the windshield got broken while it was there! He went to pick it up and all the amps were stacked really nice on an amp rack(looked great) EXCEPT: He walked around the outside of the boat to find two screws shot straight though the hull! I would have flipped! Just had to share that story.

They are going to have it fixed at the best glass repair shop in Modesto! I don't think he will ever be happy anyway! But he still thinks his boat is better than mine! Even though his sits in the garage all the time!

So I assume there is a stereo installer that is now looking for a job.

Nautique had boats coming from the factory with screws popping up the outer hull gel coat due to them screwing the amps into the hull in 2005. The reason I know this is because I was considering a 226 last year but decided to wait another year. Saw the new X-30 and the rest is history. I like the Nautiques, I just like what MC did with the X-30 this year. I was this close <picture fingers very close :) > to buying a Cobalt over the Nautique when I saw the new X15 and X30 at the boat show.

No, that can be justified.

How long were the screws? Only 1/2 inch? Th fiberglass must be like cardboard!?

sanger is a wood boat.... :(

rodlt may be to blame for this if the installer read his instructions posted on this board for installing amps along the outside wall of the storage area

an inch!!, they did bother to check what they were doing obviously. i thought it would have been maybe an 1/8...from a missed calculation.
