I found the Trakker P3 at BOARDCO (http://www.boardco.com/shop/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=889&cat=Tower+Camera+Systems&intcmp=AirTrack) for $149. They also have a version that will mount on a tower.

be sure to get a 2006, they fixed a problem with the fluid dampner leaking...

BuoyChaser is right, we did have some leakage problem that is fixed on 2006 model P3s. I don't believe any stores or websites still have older models though.

BrianM - You had a chance to try your Trakker P3 out yet??

For towers, we have two new models this year. They both use our new Inertia Wheel Drive system that provides momentum to continue panning even when the line goes slack. The AirTrakker Pro is the below tower mount version here

and the TopMount is the new version that mounts above.

Yep had it out one day and it works great. I was using my Olympus 720 SW in video mode and it works great. Not the highest quality video put perfect for training and convenient. Very happy so far.

thanks,
Ryan designed a "hillbilly tracker" that he built and showed pics of here. I built one myself from his picture and it works great. Its just a regular camera tripod bungee corded to the pylon with a paint roller tie wrapped to the handle of the tripod with the end of the paint roller coiled up like a pig tail for the rope to go thru. Cheap and effective.
