Does anyone else have a ProSport 205? Not a ProStar. It appears that they were only made from 1991-1995. Some interesting differences, but until i bought mine, i didn't know they existed.

Only difference betwen a Prosport 205 and a Prostar 205 is that the Prosport has a swivel observer seat as opposed to a rear facing bench. Any other differences???

I bought one last year, '95 model with only 95 hours.
Looked brand new.

Mine is a Prosport (1992)... I'll see if I can dig up some pictures.

When we bought it we had a choice of a red and white Prosport or a blue and gray Prostar. My wife thought she might like to face forward every now and then so we got the red one. BTW the swivel seat hasn't moved from it's aft facing position in about 8 years.

Until I talked to the dealer this weekend to get his thoughts on the 95 I am looking at, I didn't know the difference. He told me the same story, that the only difference was the pass seat. My 88 tri-star had the single seat, and my 93 had the bench. The 95 has the single seat so I guess it is a prosport. To be honest, after having both, I like the bench ALOT better. Not to mention the extra storage space you have with it.

One other difference my Dealer noticed was that the ski locker door seemed longer. I've never bothered to confirm this, but my dor is 56" long. Anyone with a 1992 ProStar please confirm the size of your door.

Weighs about 100 lbs more than the Pro Star 205 and was not an approved AWSA tow boat because of the captains chair instead of the rear facing tournament seating. Also has less covered (or completely out of sight storage) storage due to the different seating configuration.

The lack of covered storage has been a disappointment for me. But the boat was the color I wanted...

I have 2 friends with 205 and have skied them both: 1994 Prostar and 1995 Prosport. As far as I remember they are identical except for the observer seat / captain chair and the storage under them.
1994 and 1995 have also different engines but that was for the entire MC line ....

If any of you ProSport 205 owners need one of these decals - send me a PM. This decal is MasterCraft OEM and says "ProSport" in white letters with a drop shadow to the right in grey. This decal measures 20.75" by 1.5".

I had a '92 ProSport 205 for 14 years and loved the boat. We had the spotters seat facing forward quite a bit when we were just out on the lake for a ride. Now that I have the storage under the bench seat in my PS197, I agree that there is definately more storage with a bench seat, but the 205 was still a great boat.
