Okay, here's the situation. I've got a video capture board in my computer and am in the process of transferring old videos to DVD. Problem is that I want to capture the video in file format so that I can use it to make/edit video's later. Is there a reasonable/permanent storage option for large files (I have one in particular that's over 41gb).
I need ideas.....

Thanks,

Apart from getting a large firewire external harddrive, if the video is mpeg2, you could compress it as an mpeg4. Little loss in quality and a much smaller file.

I don't think you are using the right format, you should be around few gig's for most movies. Normal DVD storage is 5.7G. Like Doug said, I bought a 250G HD for $129 couple weeks ago, there is no portable consumer storage for that size until DVD-HD comes out.

You can get a feature length film down to a gig or so in mp4 format with not much loss at all IIRC.
