the instructions with the rebuild kit kinda suck, so could someone tell me how and to what i'm supposed to adjust/set the floats to?

I believe the floats are externally adjustable? Lock nut and screw so to speak? If so set the float so it is paralel with the float bowl. If you are doing this with out disassebly and you assume you are close the manual says to loosen the lock nut (warmed up engine) and rotate counterclockwise until the fuel just comes up and tickles the threads of the sight hole. I remember that carb on an old CC that I owned. I loosened until it came right out of the main in the venturi then I went back a touch. Stay well ventilated and adjust. Once again there is a great Haynes manual available at most auto parts stores.
Good luck!

Does that help?

How 'bout that one?

They may be somewhat specific towards the 4150 but hopefully will help you visualize what needs to happen...

Good luck

thanks guys, i just went ahead and put them parallel to the bottom of the fuel bowl. hopefully it works. the old gaskets in the carb were all worn out and cracking, which leads me to believe there may have been several vacuum leaks. we'll see what this bad boy does now.
