...can you wake surf behind a 92 prostar 205? I've done it behind a 2005 X-Star and was just wondering if you can do it behind the boat I just bought. I was gonna go buy a board this week but wanted to make sure first. I've got 2 500 lbs. fat sacks so I think I have enough weight to create the wake. Let me know guys. Thanks.

I've wake surfed a 197, so long as you have weight in back, and onto the side you want to ride you can get the wakes up. Be careful of the CO.

We surf behind our 92' 190 with no ballast, its all in the driving...My friend used to surf behind his 92' 205 with a few fatsacks no problem...he's tradded up to an X-2. You should be fine...just dont get the smallest board out there or you might have some problems.

If you start feeling lightheaded or dizzy...you know what to do

What's CO?

carbon monoxide, toxic gas, hence the warning by mastercrafting, if you feel lightheaded or dissy, shut the engine off, get air, or get in the boat and go real fast.

CO is heavier than O2 and will build up in front of the wake, and behind the boat, as well as in the boat.

And it is fatal.

I just bought a 2005 TT Prostar 197 and was wondering how much weight I'll be needing to wakesurf and wether I'll be able to surf at all.I have a 5'0'' board and no bags at all for the moment.

Thanks

I would put the 750 pound pro X series sac under the rear seat put it in the elezated position and it should have a nice clean surf wake like the 209

I don't think you can put anything under the solid styrofoam rear seat in a '92 (at least not in mine). I don't think the 'elevated' rear seat position was an option in the 205 until '96. There's plenty of room if you take the seat completely out though ;) .

We have done it behind my 91 maristar 210. We tried with the sac in the rear (same side as surf) and one on the floor in the front. We use people for counter weight when turning. Very first time tried 10-13MPH, way too fast. WE can surf @!5-8MPH> I don't know how accurate the gauge is though. The board is an obrien, 5.0 ft.

We had the factory ballast full and three people in my 197 last week trying to surf. We were very close to getting it. We could ride the wake for about 15 seconds. I figure a couple hundred more pounds or a few more people and we will be set.
