Went to get the boat yesterday. Thought I had the block drained through the winter. I guess not. Every freeze plug was laying in the bilge and there is water in the oil. I think I could cry.

This truly is a bummer my friend. Well, all I can say is I hope the damage is as minimal as possible, and its a speedy and inexpensive repair as possible. Hang in there my friend.

I cannot get my mind around a frozen motor due to where I live but that totally sucks! I remember just this feb you were posting pics of the boat in the barn with snow all around and us all kidding about the freezing temps..... now this? it aint funny at all.

05-08-2006, 09:55 PM
No that was my car in the barn. I would rather it have froze. It doesnt have an engine in it.

Sorry to here it J79. That is why my ship is in the garage and the car sits outside. I figure the boat will be around much longer. Maybe someone can get you some deals here on the site. A nice fire damaged boat of any kind may have the parts you need. Good luck and keep in touch! :(

As bad as it sucks. (trust me, it really sucks.) I am thinking maybe fuel injection, more HP, and more chrome. :) But I dont know yet. WIll have to see what works out.

And a BLOWER? Keep it sane! Being an old timer I love my carbs! I can do what I want early and often and on the fly! Go basic then slap an old tunnel ram with dual quads on top! The engine hatch should be topped in billet and when closed the carbs (polished of course) will pop through the billet cap. Have fun! :D As bad as it sucks. (trust me, it really sucks.) I am thinking maybe fuel injection, more HP, and more chrome. :) But I dont know yet. WIll have to see what works out.
