It's gas prices like these that make a private lake the place to be. I actually save a tone on gas (relatively speaking) because all we do is run through the course, shut it down, and run back. I spend a ton on gas whenever I go to a public lake and actually have to search for decent water. At a private lake, there is only so much lake to play with an with a couple of guys running the course everyday, I usually run through 1 tank a week.

Paid $3.06 yesterday same station is $3.17 today! Hopefully I can afford enough gas to get the boat to the water, off the trailer, take a set and anchor and drink! Oh and get it back on the trailer and home! :D

93 octane is $3.05 in central Florida currently. The Land Rover gets me for about $75 a tank and 12-13 mpg, the boat has been a little better because I've only been burning a little less than half a tank the last few times out so I just top it off each time for about $30. Luckily the truck isn't my daily driver though, I have an old I30 that gets about 20mpg.

On the upside, hopefully there will fewer boats on the water so I won't have to search as much for the good stuff.

2.89 here today.

A few years ago when gas was about 1.60 a gallon, I went to fill up the Dodge truck (30 gallon tank) and the BF 200 (40 gallon tank I think). I went in to prepay with cash and all I had was a 100 dollar bill and the girl at the counter said "we can't break that" and I said thats ok, I won't be getting any change!
