Tower speakers flaking.....

I have the Fusion T series speakers on my tower, in chrome. One of the speakers is flaking pretty bad on the bottom. Anyone experienced this and if so, is there an easy fix, i.e. touch up kit or something?

see if you can possibly coat it with clear coat or something of that nature to avoid further of decay of the housing
