Thank B!

THis will be the last year I register it in Iowa, I refuse to give the state of Iowa another dime of my money until Tom Vilsack is out of office.

If your comment was directed towards the font, I got it from internet sign shop for $15 for both sides. If your interested I can look around for the link.....

Meguires "PURE CARNUBA"

get a 6" buffer from Sears you can do the entire boat in less than 45 minutes and still have arms left to ski.

I can wax my F-150 and my wifes Tahoe in about 1 1/2 hours

compared to the 10" one my wife bought me, just doesn't work well with all the curves, undercuts...

That's the one, you can get 95% of the boat with that. there are some hard to reach spots but most of the boat can be done with the 6" buffer

I would go to a good boat detailing shop and ask them what RPM's they do the gel coat polishing at ... I'm not sure that you want to go over 1000 rpms with your polisher ...

Looks great!!

Also a big fan of 303. The cleaner bites (I use Fantastik&water 50/50), but the protectant is da best

this is a great article talking about the Porter-Cable 7335, 7336, 7424
"The Skinny on the Sander / Car Polisher System"
http://www.coastaltool.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/a/port/skinny.htm?L+coastest+tkbs2765ffb378b3+1146491939

looks like this unit runs around $130 and can be converted to either a polisher/sander...

Yes, 303 Rocks! Back in the early 90's, a fellow I worked for, also a MC owner and I bought a case of 303 [4 gal.] and split it [2 gal. ea.]. This was back in it's infancy, and all the real benefit had yet to be realized. We used it for tire and interior dressing and it was great stuff, but real expensive in comparison to other protectants. One thing I found out about it was, on tires, it did not sling off the tires onto the sides of your vehicle as most other tire dressings do.
I have seen threads and posts on TT about 303 since I have been on here in early Jan. and watched it's evolution on here as a super product.
Today, I stopped by my local ACE Hardware Store to pick up some supplies and there on the shelf was 303 products, so I picked up a spray bottle of the Protectant. I had waxed the boat about 3 weeks ago and late this afternoon, I decided that I would 303 the deck and see what all the hype was all about. MADE A BELIEVER OUT Of ME!

Farmer,
Are you worried that the 303 will make your boat too slick and cause it to run aground on a turn island? :uglyhamme :uglyhamme

Just kidding, no need to get the shampoo.......couldn't resist!

It has such an obvious change when applied also, you have to be careful not to slip and break your neck! This is one of the few products that have fanantic followers, and I mean that in a good way!

I only started using last spring, but love it. Also Meijer has a cheapo buffer that is normally $40 and they put it on sale for $20 often. I really like mine. Has 10" buffer and also smaller 3" for tight places.

The thing is, I have never used the stuff on my hull or deck. Just the seats and dash.

I did get at the seats with some fantastik and magic eraser yesterday. Truly amazing combo. 303 afterwards.

haven't tried the magic eraser yet, but the 303 spot remover got off the black marks on my vinyl from the black trailering cover on the '05...fantastik wouldn't even touch those...

My wife picked up some of the Target brand M.E. Required a little rubbing, but really worked wonders in a few spots.

Do you guys rinse after using fantastik? Bottle says no need to. I felt compelled to wipe with a wet towel and dry anyway before 303ing it.

Doug, I also wipe w/ a wet towel after cleaning. As mentioned I also dilute the Fantastik 50/50 w/ water to begin w/

Hope the 8" is OK, if not a little elbow grease won't hurt.

And yeah, rinse the fantastik off, especially if it has bleach in it, it'll rot your seams.

I finally went and did it - bought the 303 - holy crap the boat looks great and is super smooth. Seemed like it streaked though and had to be polished to make look good - is that normal? Looks great on the seats too. You guys made a believer outta me.

I waxed last fall before layup

had the boat out twice with the normal wipe down

washed the boat off and then 303d it

303 Rocks? I would rather have 303 Marbles, cause 303 Rocks probably have some sharp edges on them, unless they are 303 River Rocks!

I wonder how 303 would work as a driveway sealer?

Doug's right, I picked up a couple of magic erasers yesterday, and they are amazing, like 'magic' Very impressed, just go buy em. A couple of small stains the Fantastik did not get out, a few swipes w/ the eraser and they were gone. Not sure what the secret is, I believe it's what ever the material is they're made from?
