I bet since his lake no longer has water, and has all those trees sticking out of what water is left he sold the boat.
Then he decided to actually take that coupon off his refrigerator and actually have that shed built out in the yard.
Then he decided he was tired of paying $100.00 every three days in fuel so he sold his tow rigs and bought himself a Honda like alot of people here love sooooo much.
Then he finds out ETS is deleting all the fun posts, and there are no longer any good pictures to look at.
So he figures, what else is there to talk about.

Do YOU blame him, I don't.

I do have to adimit Doug you were alot more fun before you took on this moderator deal! Amazing with power comes responsibilties for your actions too, you may actually have to ski with a few of us! Remember this it just a computer site and we are friends on the water and in person, I said I wouldn't take on that job for anything!

I agree. It was more fun just posting.

That said, not everything I do is for fun. I get tons of PMs every week from people asking for help on boating related issues and I do my best to answer every one of them (or tell them I have no idea when I don't). It's not always fun and I don't always have lots of time to do it, but I do it anyway because I think it's worthwhile. This is all apart from what I post on here.

I hope you don't think I was taking it personally. But don't think I'm letting it go either. ;)

In person, I'd enjoy drinking a beer with anyone on this site. On the water, anyone passing through here is welcome to a pull behind me boat.

Okay, I do take that personally. What have I done that would cause someone on here not to trust me. If I've put myself above you or someone else, let me know and be specific. I devote a lot of energy to this site and try to go out of my way to help not only the friends I've made here, but complete strangers as well.

I was asked to do a job and part of that job means that I have to enforce certain rules. I've explained it many a time, yet the little jabs with exculpatory emoticons continue. Jabs I can take. Jabs I enjoy. But my trustworthiness? That's my character you're talking about there. :(

That's over the line.

Doug is in no way putting himself above anyone on this board. He was asked to do a job and that is what he is doing.
If he "moderates" a post, I can assure you that it was thought out and not just a power hungry act.

Post pictures of bikini's till your fingers get tired. No one ever said that pictures of bikini wearing ladies needed to stop. It's the pictures that are inappropriate that are not allowed.

We all know the rules here and honestly Doug shouldn't have to "moderate."

Woah!

That was uncalled for.

The two TMC members who have contributed the most to my enjoyment on this board has been the Milk Man and Eastie.

I'm sorry that MM felt he needed to take a hiatus. I hope he can resolve or work through whatever issues are relevant to his abscence.

At the same time, I commend Doug for the even handed moderation he has applied to this site. It is a totally thankless job. Perhaps, if you think about the events that preceded his Moderator assignment and the directive sent down from Corporate MasterCraft, you will realize what a difficult task he has accepted. No one on this site could do the job he has been asked to do without getting some *****ing and "whining" from us. However, I don't believe there is another on this site who has the temperament to do a better job. We should all be thankful for the job he is doing.

The fact that there is only one active moderator is a shame. I would recommend JimN be restored as a moderator to share in the castigation by the ill tempered mob. He deserved more consideration and courtesy from corporate.

Otherwise jmyers, your manners are showing.

well actually quite a few people did say that

I understand that was stated by a few users. I also understand why those users stated that those pictures should not be posted.
The original SS thread was intended as a thread to post pictures that members took themselves, and were in good taste. It was never intended as a thread to post any old picture of a bikini model found on the web.
That being said, the SS thread got out of hand multiple times and TMC stepped in more than once to edit post and delete images that were inappropriate. Many users on here felt that if another SS thread were to be started, it too would get out of hand. If it did get out of hand, I think MC headquarters would re-think the whole TMC idea and possibly just do away with it altogether.

When I mentioned that "no one" said you couldn't post pictures, I meant MC. Sorry for being so general in my statement. :o

It is a thankless job and I know it is hard! Explaining my point is even harder! Doug is a very respected member and I just don't want to see this get out of hand, I did read all the posts here and other's that seem to in one way or the other express some concern, yes even on some of my answers I have gotten! I guess trust is not the word, I just felt alot better about talking to and with Doug before the moderator posistion came to be!

I just took a glimpse at this thread and saw the words not trustworthy and Doug in the same sentence. I am here to say I'd trust Doug with my wallet, all my assets and my wife and not even loose an ounce of sleep over it. We all are entitled to our opinions but I see no signs of Doug being untrustworthy or has he changed an ounce now that he is the moderator. It's great we are allowed to speak our minds on here for the most part but I gotta say I am little hot around the collar right now for the bashing against someone who clearly is a good gent and a major supporter/helper of this site. I am not posting as much but I have been reading as of late but not because of Doug. Milk is off for personal reasons and I hope he will return soon. I have slowed as some of my interests have been moderated here (alchohol, nude slimmies and food talk) :D . I now have to split time among 3-5 sites when before I had it all right here! ;) ;) I understand in an imperfect world the thought of having a perfect site would be a stretch. We were very close for me but the majority, family and professional interests here have to be first and foremost. Once again we have a site where we can disagree and be very passionate about our interests and after it is all said and done we will run a few sets, share a few cold ones and tell great stories. We can all get along and we do a pretty good job! Go Doug and JM, you are practically related by MCBLOOD!

It's nice to see this thread has stayed "on" topic....
I am an admitted threadjacker but this thread is about milk and the ensueing crankiness seemed to be related to the fact that nobody truly knows why milk left.
Therefore blame the moderator ....
So it's not altogether off-topic I say

Eastie, you must now in a small way be feeling what W deals with daily.
If it rains, it's bush's fault, if it's drought, it's bush's fault. If the economy is good, it's bad because it's a bush economy. If gas prices are high, it's bush's fault, if gas prices are low, it's bush tampering with oil suppliers so he can win an election. and so goes the life of a TMC moderator :(

hahahhahahahah It's lonely at the top, isn't it fella?

We also felt the tourist trap in Kona too, we had a great time but it seemed everyone was a little hard! I visited HI once in the 80's after hi school... the locals hassling us weren't even locals.. once they found out I bite back, they shut the hell up and then came clean that they were from cali anyway and I realize they were just playing the part.... They give HI a bad name in my opinion.
